Bamboo is a typeface I designed out of one shape, I wasn't really worried whether it was legible, it was purely an exercise in design.

I was partly influenced by the Fuse project Neville Brody and other designers who took part in Fuse some years ago, some of the typefaces designed for that where not legible at all but were creative and innovative.
